ABOUT THE GAME

What kind of game is it?

What is The Last Homecoming?
A top-down 2D mystery horror game set in a rural Korean village. You return to your grandmother’s village after twenty years. With only a lantern, you gather clues and follow the ghost story of the village reservoir.
Is it like RPG Maker horror games such as The Witch’s House?
Yes. Like The Witch’s House, Ib and Mad Father, it is an exploration horror adventure where you search rooms and solve puzzles one step at a time. Deaths are frequent, but you restart close by. The fear comes from silence and sound rather than cheap jump scares.
What makes it Korean folk horror?
The stage is rural Korea and its folk beliefs: a lonely bus stop, the village hall loudspeaker, a sacred tree wrapped in straw rope and a shrine by the reservoir. Children’s games like hide-and-seek turn deadly. It is East Asian horror built on Korean village rituals and ghost stories.
What does it look like?
Pixel art. A cozy countryside village that feels like Stardew Valley grows stranger as the night goes on.
When and where can I play it?
It is coming to PC on Steam in March 2027, with six languages including English and Japanese. Wishlist it on Steam to get release updates.
